    Lenvo Laptop connect to WiFi

    connect to WiFi

    My flex2-15 laptop sees wireless networks but cannot connect.The connection tabs do not respond. diagnostic test shows that i do not have a preferred network set.
    System was working fine before.
    system restore couldn't resolve the problem
    generally, the OS is too unstable. I have factory restored four times since i purchased this laptop in August 2014

    lENOVO - OneKey Optimizer

    OneKey Optimizer

     

    1.  I keep getting a message that an update is available to install.  When I try it says, it is up to date.
    2.  The Accelerate function in OneKey Optimizer has identified 18 items to be accelerated.  5 are in startup apps; 10 are in system; and 3 are in browser.    When I click accelerate, it processes through the items listed but nothing gets accelerated or eliminated from the list.  Instead I get a message that my performance is poor, and Immediate acceleeration is recommended.

    If you have the Yoga 3 Pro, the "update is available" prompt is likely the fix discussed in this thread. Can you try to run Automatic Maintenance and observe if the update gets pushed into the system.

    As for the OneKey Optimizer, do you still see the same items that can be accelerated after opening / closing the OneKey Optimizer (OKO) and/or rebooting the machine? If yes, try to uninstall OKR, reboot the machine and reinstall it and observe.

    Battery plugged in, not charging!

    Hello,

    I bought a new laptop Lenovo last week but I have a problem.
    The laptop works fine except the battery will not charge.
    Windows shows me : "Battery plugged in, not charging"

    I tested several solutions but until now none of them work.

    Could you send me ideas?

    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.

    The Lenovo Energy Management is probably limiting / protecting the battery from overcharging.

    Can you try the following:

    1. Apply this Plugged in not charging message fix (Windows 7 only)

    2. In Windows 8, uninstall Lenovo Energy Management and test. If battery stays charging, reinstall Lenovo Energy Management and observe:

    3. If you still get the same error, try to:
    a. turn off the computer and remove the battery and AC adapter.
    b. press and hold the power button for 30 secs and reconnect the AC adapter
    c. turn ON the computer and continuously tap F2 to boot into the BIOS, when you're in, press F9 to load defaults and press F10 to save and exit.
    d. boot into Windows (while still having just the AC adapter plugged-in) then reinsert the battery.
